Fastnacht ...shrovetide... in Mainz

It has been another exiting week. Didn't have to travel so managed to go to the gym and get my workout this week. The Fastnacht / shrovetide or Karneval has started full now. I have taken the monday off (as my home town has a public holiday on monday) so I will go with the family to the parades / pageant..
First Friday evening the start with a karnevalparty.. Saturday we will be going to Gonsenheim, Sunday Bretzenheim and Finally on Sunday the big parade in Mainz with hundreds xx thousands of people on the streets.
Kids have their Faschingsparties in the schools and Kindrgarten today, they were all dressed up, less my daughter who goes to a catholic school. They were dressing up at the end of the schoolday.
